Hi there, thanks for stopping by the Balanced Buzz! My name is Brenna and I couldn’t be more happy to have you here.

I started this blog because starting in 2019 I ditched hormonal birth control and about 6 months later was dealing with unexplained weight gain, hormonal acne, mood swings, brain fog, anxiety/depression, low libido and more.

I was struggling with the symptoms of multiple hormonal imbalances (and it had been going on long before the symptoms began to appear). I was miserable in every sense of the word and discovered how to heal my body through lifestyle and nutrition.

I’m a registered dietitian and am very passionate about holistic nutrition and wellness. After working in hospitals and nursing homes for the first part of my career, I realized how broken our current health care system is and became fascinated with functional medicine and natural remedies that have been used for hundreds of years. More so, I became intent on educating other women about what their body’s and lives could feel like with simple changes. Not only can you find information about women’s health and hormonal imbalances, but also everything from recipes to general wellness tips.
